It usually goes like this: car driving into the shop, snow foam, dry, correct, then apply the coating then showcasing some sick water beads. Usually accompanied with some tacky dubstep or EDM (cringe 100) and show how great their process is
I know it because I made a couple of videos like this too lol After diving deep into the world of direct response marketing and sales, I realised how terrible my video was Problem #1 - the video is made entirely FOR the detailer and not to attract clients All they get is praises from other detailers praising on their work Ask yourself, do you want actually want more sales or some compliment from other detailers to boost your ego? I take sales any other day. Compliments and validation from other detailers is only a distraction from working on your craft Keep the main the main thing, which is bringing in sales and delivering the result Problem #2 - Selling the process instead of benefits and results Your clients DON'T care about how you deliver your results and the process of how you do it. All they want is their car to be detailed, whether it's just a clean or paint correction. They are paying for the RESULT How to fix it and make a kickass promo video? Your videos should focus - 80% on the BENEFITS and RESULTS - 10-15% of social proof (like other cool cars in the workshop) - And then 5-10% process - A strong call-to-action at the end of the video TESTING is key. After about 200-300 video views of the RIGHT targeting, how many calls did you get? Use a unique phone number specifically for your promo video and see how many phone calls you get per 200-300 views Protip: Engagement DOES NOT matter - the main metric is how many phone call in generates from your promo video
