There are 2 types of detailing business - grinders and the rainmakers. 

Grinders grind all day on $225 - $300 full details and not making much like Chris used to be, and then he switched to the detailing 2.0 model focusing solely on marketing, branding and selling corrections and coatings and now he's a rainmaker pulling $7k weekly

Many detailers don't really want to admit this (myself included lol) - They secretly want to do the corrections and coating jobs day in and out and not do the general details. They think they should treat all cars the same. Good for the detailers' pride but not for business. Not all clients are the same.
